Tens of thousands of years ago, before genetic splicing created Nekos, Inus, and other demi-humans, there was rumored to be an ancient civilization of cat-people called Nekopotamia. While all the other original Nekos were created using cat and Human DNA, it's belived that a single Neko was created using tiny genetic samples found in artifacts from the Nekopotamian civilization. There are no official records of her, but it is generally said that she was cryogenically frozen after being created some ten thousand years ago, as the scientists that created her needed to run tests on her hyper-powerful bloodline. Miss Sakura says that Kasumi's body was stolen countless times by art thieves, scientists, pirates, and revolutionary Neko groups, but she was not brought to life until Miss Sakura herself managed to get ahold of her. The only life that Princess Kasumi knows is as vice-principal of MSF High, and while her magic is very powerful, she rarely uses it. She is also the creator of the original magical outfits, a testament to her skill with magic.
