A ship-scaled version of the Entropy Phase Generator is completed, allowing the GA to fight the GAN in real space battles without their ships being overrun by teleporting troops. A number of heroes, mostly Human, buy or build personal EPGs and become famous cowboy figures by fighting off GAN pirates. This, coupled with spin-off technologies created in the research process, contribute to an entertainment boom throughout the GA, taking the civillian minds off the fact that a force of practical jokers is making space trading a hellish ordeal and encouraging pirates to do whatever they want.
