Grassy Paths to be edited

[Hiro]

Hiro continues watching the fire another minute or so, reaching up to wipe away the tear with a smile and softly closing her notebook. Slowly climbing to her feet and smiling distantly as she wavers back and forth once up, still transfixed by the blaze as she blinks, "It's gorgeous... Thank you," she blinks a moment as her failure to find a name brings her back to reality, "Thank you..." looking towards Xalforious, "I... I didn't ever get your name. I'm sorry. I'm Hiro." she smiles to him. Giving a genuinely happy smile for probably the first time all day, "Thank you very much! I really needed that!" glancing back at the flames, "Though... Someone should probably put it out before it burns the whole park down..." looking sad at the concept, but her voice is steady and worried at the end.

Xalforious gets up, and encloses her hand in his fist. "I AM XALFORIOUS SLAYER-OF-PREGNANT-WOMEN-AND-EATER-OF-BABIES BLOODDRINKER. I AM GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT, AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT SHOULD BE ALONG ANY MINUTE.

Sure enough, a guy on a bicycle rides in, and gestures towards the fire, which is quickly put out by the sudden rainstorm that appears. Ironically, the rainstorm is only over the tree, and a bit of the surrounding area.

Xalforious and Hiro are untouched by the storm.

Hiro's nervousness returns at the sound of the name, shaking hands slowly, "Er... That's... A very interesting middle name." she smiles and blushes a little, shaking her head, "Ah. I'm sorry. I shouldn't be so rude. Thank you very much for that display. It was very relaxing." looking over as the man on the bicycle arrives to put out the fire, blinking slowly, "Ah. Well. Now that that's taken care of." she looks back to Xalvorious with a soft smile, "I don't suppose you have any other ideas for what to do this afternoon? I came here to relax, today's been nothing if not stressful and crazed."

Xalforious laughs at Hiro's description of his name. "MY DAD KNEW SOME AP NAMES, SO HE DECIDED TO PARODY THEM. FITS MY RACE'S STYLE OF HUMOR. I DON'T REALLY EAT BABIES. MUCH. AS FOR FUN THINGS THERE'S THE CARNIVAL, OR THE FOREST. IT'S NOT A GOOD IDEA TO BURN THINGS THERE, THOUGH. THEY FIGHT BACK. IT IS FUN TO GOOF AROUND IN. OR LURE ISRAFEL IN..."[/i]

Hiro pales slightly at the mention of eating babies, but shakes it off quickly enough. This place was plenty weird already, it's hard to say what's acceptable and what's not, "Er.. Well... I-I'm not much good for fighting... All I've ever done is on the receiving end of the beatings." she sighs quietly and looks towards her feet sadly a few moments, then looks up again, "Oh, Israfel? He's that angel who was making the big deal over his name right? Attacked one of the other students, then got shot?" she glances around a little worried, "Is that normal? In one day I've seen two students appear to die... And neither of them were me! That's just... Freaky."

"CHEER UP! IF ANYONE TRIES TO HURT YOU, I'LL RIP THEIR HEAD OFF AND USE THEIR SKULL AS A WINE-CUP! AND THAT SOUNDS PERFECTLY NORMAL FOR ISRAFEL. HE'S PROBABLY GOING TO END UP LIKE HIS FATHER."

Hiro raises her hands and shakes her head, "No, no! It's alright. I'm used to it... I'd rather no one else get hurt on my account..." she sighs and looks down a moment, then blinks slowly, "His father? What do you mean? Did something bad happen to his father?" Looking up and canting her head to one side a little confused.

Xalforious nods. "YEAH, I DON'T KNOW THE DETAILS, BUT HE APPARENTLY THOUGHT THE AP WAS GOING TOO SLOW IN BRINGING JUSTICE TO THE WORLD. SO HE DECIDED TO TAKE OVER, BY FORCE, AND START A CRUSADE TO END UNRIGHTEOUSNESS. HE GOT TO THE GRAND-HIGH MUCKETY MUCK OF HIS PLANET, AND WAS GOING TO KILL HIM TO BECOME THE NEW GRAND-HIGH MUCKETY MUCK, BUT HE DIDN'T TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE GUY'S SKILLS IN MAGIC. HE WAS TRANSFORMED INTO A FLOWER, AND CONDEMNED TO THAT FATE FOR ALL ETERNITY. ISRAFEL KEEPS HIM IN HIS ROOM."

Hiro makes a silent 'oh' with her mouth and blushes softly, "I hope he doesn't end up that way... That would be a terrible fate." she sighs quietly then shakes her head and looks up to you with a smile, "But, I'm sure he can improve. Everyone can, right? At least... I hope so... If not, then there really is no hope for me." looking down again a moment then blinking, "Oh! I'm sorry, I shouldn't offload my problems onto someone as nice as you! Ah, you mentioned a carnival? Would you like to go there?"

He gives her a thumbs up, and leads the way to the carnival. She really needs a self-esteem boost. Maybe an arena match with somebody who has even less fighting skills than she does? Does she have any fighting skills? Or someone who's willing to lose, maybe.

[Hiro]

Hiro quickly stuffs her things back into her backpack and follows Xalfurious out of the park towards the carnival with a smile, glancing briefly at the charred section of park on her way. Seemingly relaxed and relatively care-free for the moment.

[Uvul]

Uvul was furious with . . . something. Oh, right. Uratino. Stupid little demon-person. With his blue hair. And his . . . um . . . feet. Always jumping on me and acting all innocent. I'll show him! I'll show him something!

Unfortunately, one thing Uvul wasn't doing was paying attention to where she was going. When she broke out of her inner rant, she was completely lost.

"Woah . . . so many trees . . . Am I in a forest now?" Uvul's ears flickered nervously as she continued down the brick path she was on, hoping that it might take her somewhere recognizable. Or at least somewhere with an elephant.

Man . . . I feel lonely. I don't like this . . . where is everybody. Well, duh, back at the 'school.' But how do I get back?

Uvul's current path through the park, while very scenic and peaceful, had also gotten her no closer to the dormitories then she's started. The shade sighed to herself - or at least made the equivalent noise. I can't lose everything again! I just got some of it back!

Uvul stopped by a beautiful fountain, looking around hopefully. Tired of walking, she took to bothering the people around the fountain. "Hey, excuse me? I have a question. Are you listening? No, I'm over here, and I have a question, see . . ."

[Uvul]

Uvul brooded to herself on one of the park benches beside the fountain. Everyone so far was too self-absorbed in dodging cursed water balloons to help her out. Unphased by the cover fire herself, perhaps for lack of understanding, the shade was left with no recourse but to sulk over the manners of people. "Bunch of . . . jerks . . . yeah. Jerks."

Watching the nekos around the fountain continue their barrage on other pedestrians, Uvul tried to decide what to try next. This place has so many paths. Every path has to go somewhere, but which somewhere is my somewhere? That's a lot of somewheres to choose from. . . Places. A lot of places to choose from. I bet Cornelius would figure it out. Probably set some kind of . . . trajectory. From the sun or something. The shadeling rocked in her seat a little impatiently while a few balloons lobbed by, trying to think of some kind of logical basis on which to get back home.

A cursed water-balloon lands directly on Uvul's head, dying the shade a bright pink. Ironically, it doesn't make her wet in any way. It's just that wherever she's splashed, she turns pink.

A male neko promptly leaps towards her, and lands right beside her. "Tag, you're it miss. Hope you look good in pink!"
