This part of Nick's "Journal" Is written on the back of a flyer informing the reader of a makeup assignment for gym class.


Well, suppose I oughta start a journal or something. Keep my thoughts all bound up. Well, first off, I got laid! Nice girl named Keigra. She's a kitsune, and amazing to look at. I met her the first day I got here, at the beach, along with Delseri and Jackie. More on them later. Well, we hit it off, and now we're BF and GF like some say. Oh, and I'm a demi-human now, which is sort of like a furry. Fox, too. Good for me, 'cause I've been told I'm cute. Even better, 'cause I might have never hooked up with Keigra.

Okay, other than that.. I arrived about four, five days ago, can't remember how long at the moment. Well, I made some friends, got into a fight with Delseri, got pissed, made up with Delseri and his girlfriend Jackie, (A wind elemental and a human, respectively. Nice people.) and that's all I can remember for the first couple of days. Note: The arena sucks. Delseri won that fight, and I ended up dead. Again. Dying sucks, avoid it.

But more recently, Sam (A former soldier, who has a sword almost as big as him, I kid you not.) who seemed like a good guy the first time I met him, went beserk and attacked a battleship along with Rei (A legion girl, don't know her that well.) and started some miniature war or something. Well, I went over to the cliffs, where the ship was at, worried that they might invade and hurt Keigra somehow. "They" being Crane Corp, some corporation I've never heard of that claimed to own the ship. They chose to bring some of us aboard to check it out and try to talk Sam and Rei outta it, and I got left behind, as I expected. I suck at fighting anyway, which was proven yet again when I literally got my head blown off after Crane Corp's droids invaded the cliffs.

Lucky for us, the police showed up shortly after, killing the droids and reviving all the students who had died, like me. I left after that, so I don't know anything else that had happened.

But get this: Right after I find Keigra again, she'd shapeshifted into a human, and was talking to some frightened human guy named Everett. He seemed nice enough, just really scared and confused. Well, he eventually got on my nerves. I just wanted to spend time with Keigra, and here was this guy who I didn't even know, taking up my time and refusing to believe me. I ended up chasing him through the dorms, and you wouldn't believe the crowd we got. It ended up with me eventually getting so frustrated, I trashed my room. He got away clean though, so it's all good. I just have to repair my rep with the classmates who saw me, and I'll be okay.

Well, I gotta go head to that gym makeup assignment. Hopefully, I won't get killed, but that's wishful thinking.

This part of Nick's "journal" is made up of a map of MSF, along with a sheet of grease-stained scratch paper. On the map, the scrap yard, parking lot, and the site of the S.S. Imperium Delta are all circled.

Delta might still be dangerous, and it's probably at least half sunk by now. Bring a buddy, or avoid it altogether?

Find a shop. I can't fix Donna all by myself, much less improve her. I need the technology to rebuild her, make her faster, more powerful.

Scrap yard is nice, and free, but I doubt I can find any sheet metal that hasn't either rusted or been taken already. Another reason to find a shop.

Finish car first, THEN armor.

Gotta be others around here like me. Need to find a place where I can meet like-minded people. A track, maybe? A street racing circuit? (No rice boys, please.)

Doubt anybody would want me jacking parts from their rides, but I can still study them. I can use them as inspiration, right?

Making this all by myself is gonna take a while. But that's part of the fun. I can't fight, I'm not amazing in class, I can't wrestle a bear into submission like a few others, but I can build a car. Let's see anybody else in this class do that.
