Okay. I've found out why Mal was missing.

He's very, very sick. His new prescription had a serious side effect. I recieved a notice from his mother that he is now hospitalized. He's safe, but his neuro-chemical levels aren't stable. She's asked me to tell his friends, and made one other request. I know a lot of people here have problems with religion, but if there's any who don't. Pray for him. Certain studies have shown, though it isn't definite, that people who are prayed for have a better chance of recovery. He's a great guy. He had great characters, he works hard, he listens to people. I hate seeing it when good people suffer. He...doesnt' deserve what he's been through. So, if you're willing. Pray for him, or do whatever you can to help. His mom is grateful to those who care for him. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I'm just glad he's in one (relative) piece. I'm FAR from the most religious Christian in this Mortal Coil, but Der Kommissar definitely has my full support!

I have been away for some time. I can also say this is likely the scariest damn moment of my entire life. Some of you are aware, but to those who are not, I have been taking medication to balance chemicals in my brain so I can overcome a few issues and finally get a real life. In the process of trying a new medication this last time though, something went woefully wrong. I always knew my head was messed up, but due to a rare reaction I had (by rare I am talking 1 in 10,000 if that) my brain chemistry went batshit. I was quite literally, legally insane when the meds were in my system. Nothing made sense. I couldn't tell right from wrong. I could swear on my soul that the shadows contained hidden monsters ready to tear me to shreds if I looked away. My nightmares were varied and extreme. I had waking moments where I thought I was still dreaming as I saw things that seemed so damn real I thought I could reach out and touch them. Hell I may have a few times for all I know. I can honestly say no other hallucinations or drug trips would compare to that. I have never been more scared in my life as I knew something was horribly wrong with me, but for the life of me I couldn't puzzle it out. It was like a dream. Watching yourself do something, but being positive that you weren't the one deciding things. Maybe I should scratch possession off my list of things I have never experienced? I dunno. I wasn't in control. I attacked those I love. I tried to hurt myself and others in ways I had never fathomed before. I contemplated actions that now in retrospect make me nauseous. I am not well right now to say the least. I am on edge and frightened. Being prone to random mood swings is the least of my concerns right now. I find myself laughing hysterically at nothing when I sit alone in a dark room. I find myself crying in agony and fear when I am surrounded by friends and family as they try to calm me. I have random thoughts that range from interesting, to amusing, to scary, to downright sickening. My brain is on the crazy train to Hell and I am apparently strapped in for the ride. I am still seeing doctors and therapists. Insurance covers it all, thank God for little blessings, and I am something of a case study right now (not the attention from the scientific community I was hoping for one day). They don't know exactly what went wrong or really why it did. They don't know how long it will take to fix what went screwy or even what they can fix. I gotta say, the concept of brain damage is terrifying to say the least. I will try to drop in now and then, but right now I am doing my damnedest not to cry or maybe burst out laughing. Hard to tell these days. I will be in touch. Thanks for the texts and emails. They mean a lot to me.

I... Wanted to make a joke about how, you must have the X-Gene or something, because you seem to have the innate ability to draw misfortune to yourself.

We're all here for you Mal. I don't have a number or e-mail address for you, so I'll only be able to leave things for you here, but you've got everybody here doing their form of well wishing, whether it be prayer or sacrificing virgins to a god with a name that would drive a mere mortal to insanity, asking him to relinquish his grip upon you.

I'm not exactly the praying type (or the sacrificing type, for that matter,) but you can be sure I'll be putting some good thoughts out there for you.

And who knows... Perhaps what is happening to you will send up beacons to the scientific community, and you'll end up making a big contribution towards understanding the human brain.

About the first half of your post describes something that has happened to me before. The second half veers off into my step bother's life in many ways...

I usually don't claim to know where people come from, but trust me, Mal, I know what you're going through is like. I wish I could be there to support you, since you mean a lot to me.

I know I said I'd get to the other characters 'tomorrow'... several days ago. My apologies. Trying to juggle GM duties and getting side swiped by a fever is a pain in my pale ass.

That being said, I ain't working tonight. But tomorrow, when I get out my external hard drive again, I'll be running through the Official Character threads and getting some work done.

Who knows, I might actually have the energy to play a bit. Don't bet on it, though.

Your lovely, beautiful, caring, ge-- *SNERKgiggle* Okay, I won't try to BS you. I turned 21 last week. Today, my mom decided to be the greatest person ever and get me booze. And soda. And pajamas. I'm curling up in bed, sipping my way into happy dreams and thinking of fuzzy friends.

So I'm taking the day off, officially, so nya. XP Just be glad booze apparently turns me into a kitten, not a tiger.
