Greetings, minions... oh wait, erm, players! Yeah! Ahem. Recently the GM staff has been informed of certain issues that have arisen between you, the players, and us, the GMs, in recent history. Suffice to say, player GM interactions have always been of utmost importance here at MSF High, and we strive to always improve in this department. So, that having been said, after reviewing the circumstances involved, we have made some fairly large changes in an attempt to rectify the situation.
From hence forth, Kiana Wolf will no longer be in charge of answering player questions, with respect to either setting or mechanical issues. These duties will now be afforded to our newest GM, TheProphetGamer, who has bravely stepped forward to volunteer his services in this aspect. May he rest in peace… I mean, we wish him the best of luck in this and have the highest confidence that he will be able to serve admirably in this role! Yeah… that’s it. In all seriousness though, Proph has a good handle on things, and has our support, so all is well in Oz… or it had better be. *glares*
Furthermore, as stated before, I will be resuming my post as acting Head GM, a role which Kia was forced into due to my absence without any advance notice or assistance, and for which she performed with all of her heart. For this oversight on my part, I offer a public apology to both Kia, and anyone else who was inconvenienced by my departure and subsequent lack of GMingnessness… stuff.
Kiana will still be in charge of the teachers, though she will potentially be sharing her workload with Ilushia, as to be determined some time in the future. Furthermore, she will continue to be dealing with XP awards and tracking for level purposes, as well as being in charge of rules monitoring and refinement.
An updated GM assignment listing will be going into its appropriate thread soon, but in essence, as of this moment, if you have ANY questions about ANYTHING, go to Prophet. Do not go to Kia (You shall likely be slain). Do not go to Kuda (Poor SOB has finals). Do not go to Ilushia (I swear to God if anyone scares her off again, I will hunt them down in person and tear out their liver). You may however, ask me stuff if you feel the insane urge. I’ll be gentle. >:3
But seriously folks; best bet is to go to Proph and if he doesn’t know he will check with one of us. Any question he has takes priority so queuing up there is your best bet.
On the note of long response times, I have this to say: I don't care in the slightest how long it takes for the response to get back to you. If you are in need of such an immediate response, then ask me (Try not to be retarded with your questions). If you go to one of the other GMs without an exceedingly good reason (aside from Proph), I have instructed them to leave no stone unturned in looking for methods to express their displeasure at you doing such. This will, of course be immediately followed by me setting you on fire. Personally. In real life. At the stake. With slow burning logs. Have I underlined this enough yet? How about now?
This sounds like an asshole thing to do, I know, but it is the only method to ensure a situation like that which has arisen does not occur again (if you don’t know, don’t ask). Prophet is a hardworking fellow, and was chosen for his ability to be responsible in all manners about these sorts of things; he will get the information needed through whatever channels necessary, and return an answer, or your money back… wait, wrong forum.
As a side note, the former player Cnaltman has appealed his case to me and after reviewing the information he has put forth, including checking several logs and using liberal amounts of Admin powers to track things, I have concluded that he was banned on a technicality and will be granted a second chance provided he doesn’t run around with his head up his butt. His last stunt pissed off a lot of people (again if you don’t know, don’t ask). I trust that his away time will serve as a decent enough reprimand for the time being. If you read this Cnaltman, be aware that this is your last strike. Don’t go out of your way to tread lightly, but do reread the rules please. I would prefer if we had natural roleplay here vs. an inane fear of crossing lines.
As a further notice to all players, I am the only one with controls to the Banhammer. Even then, I cannot act without consent from the other GMs, and I won’t even consider banning unless the pile of evidence is pretty damn impressive so you can all calm down. The rules help keep things sane, but we aren't going to hit you in the kneecaps with a crowbar if you step out of line once. Just don't make a habit of it and pay attention when a GM tells you that you are pissing them off.
I thank all of you that have come forward with information pertaining to the previously described situation, and I hope that these changes allow us all as a community to move forward.
